Custom Development & Integration Services
How long will it take?
This is a common and understandable, but “loaded” question. The level of complexity and number of requirements determine how long an application will take. On average, the development lifecycle for a new application development is 3 months to 1 year. Whereas, integration and new features can take less time to implement — usually from just days to months.
Our hourly billing is based upon a rate card. We offer the most competitive pricing we can for the different kinds of resources needed on the project. Another factor that plays into cost is dedicated vs. non-dedicated resources. We can often offer a lower rate card for shared resources in comparison to dedicated resources. The difference is really how fast you want the project to be delivered. If your timeline is short and fast, you will want dedicated resources. On the other hand, if you can wait a while longer and want to save money, shared resources make better sense.
Do I need a project manager?
A good rule of thumb is that if your project requires 160 man hours or more, a project manager will be required. Project managers play a critical role in making sure that all parties are meeting their commitments. From development schedules to client sign-offs on decisions and requirements, it is a critical resource to have on projects of this size.
Do you offer Microsoft Development?
We do not offer development services for Microsoft Access, .NET, or VB. We do, however, have partners to refer your business to if need be. It’s far more efficient to have a platform focus, and we specialize in open systems (Linux, AIX, & Unix).
